Join us for Worship!

All people are welcome to worship at Grace Church. Whether you live in the area or commute in, United Methodist or just spiritual, have been hurt or loved by the church you are free to worship with us. We believe that every person is made in the image of God, just as they are. We are a reconciling congregation, which means we are committed to intersectional justice across and beyond the United Methodist connection and work for the full participation of all LGBTQ+ people throughout the life and leadership of the church.

Our Sunday services include space for mindfulness practices, prayer, songs, scripture and discussion.

Kids are welcome at Grace! Little ones are welcome to play in our family friendly spaces and/or or participate in our weekly children’s programming.

Accessibility information:

Arriving

To access our front doors requires climbing two outside stairs. Once inside the front doors, there are 12 stairs that lead up to the sanctuary, and 12 stairs that lead down to the fellowship hall. A lift is accessible at sidewalk level on Wrightwood that provides access to both levels.

Bathrooms

At this time, there is an all-gender single stall restroom on the sanctuary level (accessible by climbing one stair from the sanctuary or using a movable ramp), and two all gender restrooms with multiple stalls downstairs (accessible without climbing stairs but not yet fully ADA-compliant). The downstairs bathrooms. Plans are in development to renovate the restrooms and increase accessibility.

Sanctuary Seating:

Most seating is in pews in the sanctuary or chairs without arms in the social hall. Both have spaces for wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

Public Transit

We are located directly in front of the 82 Kimball-Homan bus stop, or 0.3 miles from the Logan Square Blue Line Station (exit to the southwest).

Parking

We do not have a parking lot. Free street parking is available on both sides of Kimball Avenue. Street parking on Wrightwood Avenue is permit only. Please allow 10 minutes to park and find your way, as you may need to park a few blocks away. There is space to drop off on both Wrightwood and Kimball.
